Children’s Clothing Fair:

Donated children's clothing in good condition will be available for military families at no cost.
Spring Military Appreciation Food Drive: Saturday 24 May 2025.
The Military Appreciation Food Drive focus is to help military families in need due to financial limitations by providing them nourishing food and to demonstrate TLC's resolve to support the local military families. Our Spring Food Drive will provide a bag of meal staples and a $25 Commissary Gift Card to buy meats or other desired items.
Sponsor a Food Package: Donations will be accepted starting 30 March thru 4 May.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We have two opportunities for volunteers - helping to pack the food packages (21 May, 9:30am -11:00am) and the actual distribution of the food packages to the military families (24 May, 8:30am-10:30 am).
REGISTRATION FOR MILITARY FAMILIES INTERESTED IN RECEIVING A FOOD PACKAGE WILL BE 20 APRIL-3 MAY. Registration is required to ensure no one is turned away.
STEP and
Sharing The Joy!
TLC teams with STEP (Support The Enlisted Project) to support their annual Christmas Sharing the Joy Toy Drive and Adopt a Family projects. Each year STEP has over 200 local military families registering for “adoption” and while many are adopted, some are not. For those families, the toy drive ensures that the children of the non-adopted families “share the joy” of receiving Christmas toys.

Military Family Assistance Ministry
An opportunity to assist a military family in an extremis can occur at any time and we stand ready with helping hands to provide food, money, and transportation.
Volunteer Opportunities: If you are willing to be on call for transportation support, please contact Wayne Duke at 858-740-1068 via email at moc@tierrasantalutheran.org.
Donation: Monetary donation of any amount to support this ministry are welcomed and can be provided by check to Tierrasanta Lutheran Church with memo line note “MOC/FA”.

Volunteer Opportunities:
You are invited to join TLC members in placing the wreaths on the graves at the Miramar National Cemetery in mid December and removing them the first week of January.
